What is Straight-Trade Canning?

Straight-Trade Canning is a service offered by Fisherman's Canning. Anglers returning from their multi-day trips can exchange their fresh or frozen tuna (except skipjack) for water-packed albacore in 6 oz. cans.

The current trade rate is based on current world value of fish. Straight-Trade Canning is a great way to stock up your cupboards for the winter (they make great gifts, too) with no out-of-pocket expense.

The fish in the can is solid-pack albacore- jig fish only - and we are able to obtain what we believe to be the best-quality commercial pack available. There is a big difference between Straight-Trade Cans (see comparison) and our Gourmet Pack cans.
